The surroundings at Auchlochan date back to the Victorian era when the parkland was planned with numerous grand trees which merge into the mature woodland.  
Today the grounds are proving a focal point for those who enjoy mature gardens and fine countryside. This can be seen by strolling through the walled gardens, an outstanding feature of the Trust.
