The nearest village to Auchlochan is Lesmahagow. It can be reached from the M74 by taking either junction 9, if travelling from Glasgow and the North, or junction 10 if travelling from the South. On entering Lesmahagow bear to the right at the main junction (New Trows Road) opposite the Halifax Bank of Scotland. Continue along this road for two miles going over a small humped back bridge on a sharp bend. The entrance to Auchlochan complex is approximately 200 yards on the right after this. Nethanvale is situated at the far end of the complex and is clearly signposted.

Nethanvale is registered for 76 residents and can accommodate 56 residents requiring nursing care and 20 residents requiring specialist dementia care.  

Privately funded and local authority funded residents are welcome on both a permanent and respite basis.  The accomodation consists of 3 lounges, 2 dining rooms and a meeting/activities room.

The dementia units are secure with integrated lounge and dining facilities.

In addition to this Nethanvale has five twin rooms available for bed and breakfast at a reasonable fee for relatives.
